I. Committee Reports
A. Advocacy: Members are receiving a periodic email with the updates from the AAD Advisory Board Committee activities provided by Dr.Kelley Redbord (DC Derm representative)
B. Atlantic Derm Conference 2020, Update:
a. Save-the-date April 24th-26th, 2020
b. Thank you to Dr. Andrew Montemarano for facilitating Jose Andres as keynote speaker
c. Members with dues paid in full will be eligible for a discounted rate for the meeting. You can pay online at DCDermSoceity.com or email John Garza at WashDCDerm@msn.com
C. Scholarship Program
a. Scholarship Committee 2019-2020: Dr. Maral Skelsey (chair), Rosemarie Liu, Jennifer DeSimone and Benjamin Lockshin.
b. Ten thousand dollars has been ear marked for scholarships and grants. Applications are due by October 1, 2019 and April 1, 2020
II. New Business
A. Drs. Michael Cardis, Jason F. Solus, Kaiane A. Habeshian are being voted on for membership approval.
B. Dr. Min Deng is being presented for membership and will be voted on at the next meeting.
III. Thank you to all the residents and faculty at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and National Institutes of Health for preparing the conference today.
IV. The invited speakers for the meeting are:
• Dominique Pichard, M.D. and Jane Scribner, M.D.
V. CME: The attendants were asked to sign in on CME sheets to receive the 4.0 CME credits for the meeting. No texting for CME is available for this meeting.
