Dear Colleagues,
I am honored to be leading the Washington DC Dermatological Society with the new team this coming year. It is my great pleasure to welcome new and returning members. I would also like to thank our outgoing president, Dr. Saurabh Singh for all his hard work.
This year promises to be an exciting one for all of us with a reintroduction of some in person or hybrid meeting styles. We will be elaborating on this as the events get closer. The coming year will have outstanding meetings and continuing medical education opportunities as always. In collaboration with the current and new academic leaders, we are excited to have confirmed Dr. Tina Nandi for our first speaker on September 22 at Washington Hospital Center. Details of her talk and the others will be forthcoming shortly. Please see the attached preliminary schedule.
We will be continuing our support of the scholarship program. Applications have been sparse, so we strongly encourage any members and residents to submit their project’s proposal for evaluation to the Research Committee.
As we all know, membership dues are an important component in our finances that maintain the operating costs within our budget. The link to pay dues can be found on the Membership page.
We will also plan to add a social event for members and the Resident Presentation Competition to the schedule at the end of the year if conditions allow.
