I. Committee Reports
A. Advocacy: Members are receiving a periodic email with the updates from the AAD Advisory Board Committee activities provided by Dr.Kelley Redbord (DC Derm representative)
B. Atlantic Derm Conference 2020, Update:
a. Save-the-date April 24th-26th, 2020
b. Thank you to Dr. Andrew Montemarano for facilitating Jose Andres as keynote speaker
c. Members with dues paid in full will be eligible for a discounted rate for the meeting. You can pay online at DCDermSoceity.com or email John Garza at WashDCDerm@msn.com
C. Scholarship Program
a. Scholarship Committee 2019-2020: Dr. Maral Skelsey (chair), Rosemarie Liu, Jennifer DeSimone and Benjamin Lockshin.
b. Ten thousand dollars has been ear marked for scholarships and grants. Applications are due by October 1, 2019 and April 1, 2020. Email John Garza at WashDCDerm@msn.com for an application.
II. New Business
A. Dr. Min Deng is being voted on for membership approval.
B. Drs. Rhett Kent and Nemanj Rodic are being presented and voted on for membership approval.
