Business Meeting Report/Minutes
INOVA Fairfax Hospital
Saturday, October 26, 2013
Dr. Benjamin Lockshin called the meeting to order at 9:41 a.m.
I. Minutes from the September 24, 2013 Washington Hospital Center meeting were approved unanimously.
II. Committee Reports
- Advocacy Committee: Please contact Dr. Kelley Redbord or Dr. Ben Lockshin if you are interested in joining/being involved in the committee
- Social Committee: Dr. Florencia Anatelli is organizing an Argentinean-style barbeque in the spring of 2014 at Cabin John Park or Rock Creek Park. The final location and date will be announced soon. Please plan on attending!
- Treasurer’s Report: The budget will be presented at the next meeting.
III. Old Business
- Felisa Lewis, M.D. and Jennifer DeSimone, M.D. were voted on and approved for membership.
IV. New Business
- New membership applications were presented: Maren Shaw, M.D. and Brendan Camp, M.D.. They will be voted on at the next meeting.
The next meeting will be Saturday, December 7th at 8 am at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. There will be 3-4 excellent speakers. Mark your calendars now!
The Residency Appreciation Dinner will be March 4th, 2014 at Maggiano’s in Chevy Chase.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
