I. Committee Reports
A. Advocacy Committee
- Efforts to ban tanning beds in the District of Columbia was discussed.
- ICD-10 updates reviewed and resources discussed as a prelude to the guest speaker
B. Social Committee
- Reminder announcement that the 2nd DC Derm Picnic will be June 6 in Virginia at Nottoway Park in Vienna from 12-4.
II. Old Business
A. There were no new member applications voted on at this resident appreciation event.
III. New Business
- Applications presented for Cynthia Carver DeKlotz, M.D., Anna Iasmine Kirkorian, M.D. and Kalyani Marathe, M.D. and will be voted on at the next meeting
- Reminder that the next Atlantic Dermatology Conference is in Philadelphia, April 24-26, 2015. http://atlanticdermconference.org/
IV. Guest speaker: James Scroggs, MHA
The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2014 at 6:00 pm at Howard Univeristy, in Washington, D.C.
