Business Meeting Minutes

Dr. Benjamin Lockshin called the meeting to order at 6:58 pm.
I. Minutes from the March 4th, 2014 meeting were reviewed and approved.
II. Committee Reports
- Advocacy Committee: Please attend the upcoming Legislative Conference September 7-9, 2014 and present a united voice to Congress about dermatology’s most pressing issues. Dr. Dirk Elston’s lecture also highlighted the pressing AAD, health care and advocacy issues and updates.
- Social Committee: Everyone should attend the Argentina-style BBQ Family event Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Cabin John Park in Rockville, MD.
- Website Development Committee: The new website will be ready mid June. Look for a survey to fill out your practice information and hours.
III. Old Business
- Melissa Lynn Abrams, M.D. and Hon Pak, M.D. were voted on and approved for membership.
IV.New Business
- New membership applications were presented: Andrea Morris, M.D. and J. Michael Gagnier, M.D. They will be voted on at the next meeting.
The last two meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, May 13th at 6:30 pm at Howard University and Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014 at the NIH.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:03 pm.
